Barley is a wonderfully versatile cereal grain with a rich nutlike flavor and a tempting chewy, pasta-like reliability. It is obviously high in maltose, a sugar that provides as the basis for both malt syrup sweeteners. When fermented, barley is used as a part in beer and other alcoholic drinks. It is a very superior source of molybdenum, selenium, manganese and dietary fiber, and a good deliver of copper, chromium, vitamin B1, magnesium, phosphorus and niacin.
